MY DIGITAL LITERACY AND IDENTITY NARRATIVE
During spring 2017, I took a writing and rhetoric course titled Literacy and Technology. In this class, we took the definitions of technology and literacy and explored the difference in their definition based on different contexts. The contexts were based on different class readings and videos. This process allowed us to broaden and rethink how we define those terms, as well as identitying how we engage with literacy and its connection with technology. As people who grew up in the technological age, our writing is very much based with technology. This theme was explored throughout the duration of the semester. In the piece below, I explore my digital literacy in the context of my cultural ecology as a millennial Latina American woman living in the United States.
